Winter as…

Desperation?
Winter seems to bring out all sorts of things in people…some are excited by the clean, freshness that seems to come with newly fallen snow. These people are joyous at what they perceive to be new beginnings and boundless possibilities. I am not those people. Winter brings out nothing but acute desperation, irritability, and the continual threat to move back to Florida. 😀

Ah, winter and the holidays: a time of wonderfully frozen tundra complete with copious amounts of food and significantly less motivation to do much other than eat it. 😉 It’s a time of wonderment: Is your horse just fluffy from being frozen or fat from not getting worked? Did those breeches feel snug because you layered or because you’ve decided pumpkin pie is a legitimate food group? So.many.questions.

Optimum Range…

…in order to survive winter riding and to avoid getting launched into the stratosphere by your youngster this winter. The take home from this is that winter is bogus and those that the first person to complain that it’s hot this summer is getting smacked. 😉
