Because life with horses is never orderly.

The Idea of Order

Sometimes I do attempt to keep from pissing off Future Me. But only sometimes. 😉 As much as it pains me to deprive the doglets of the best food horses can make, it pains me even more to be awakened by that awful dry heaving noise as we revisit their afternoon treats.

Isn’t that the truth…

Not sure if it’s worse making this call or receiving it.
Horses, at least mine, seem to have a myriad assortment of ways to test our patience and spend our money. Of course sometimes it really is a toss up if it’s worse to be on the sending or receiving end of these sorts of calls.

Another Winter Treat…

Pretty sure *I* can’t run in stilettos so I’m unsure how my three year old manages it without killing himself (yet anyway).
So my horses had their feet done the day *before* we got a bunch of snow dumped on us (along with some awesome subzero temperatures). The subject of ‘popper pads’ came up and I declined having him put them on having never experienced the gloriousness that is taking a claw hammer to the foot of a wiggling three-year-old in an attempt to remove the six inch tall ice wad from his shoes. Good times indeed. I believe I will start raising funds to head to Florida. Anyone there care to loan me some barn space until about April? 😉
