Outside…
…It’s happening outside. The damage today, [It] falls on today, They[beasts standing] on the outside…
Because who needs shelter, warmth, and a perfectly dry stall when you have an entire wet, frozen tundra at your disposal? 😉
Because life with horses is never orderly.

Just one of the many insane things we do as equestrians.
It’s that fun time of year again…the one where we get to be covered in hair AND eventually freeze in the ensuing arctic tundra. Barf. I’m already ready for June. 😉

Didn’t winter just DIE?!
As much as I have to admit that I could *survive* without it being over 100 degrees outside, I am NOT too thrilled about this fall shenanigans or the doom that comes after it. At least all my horses are enjoying spooking at their own shadows for funsies. 😉 #ISpookAtWinter

…in order to survive winter riding and to avoid getting launched into the stratosphere by your youngster this winter. The take home from this is that winter is bogus and those that the first person to complain that it’s hot this summer is getting smacked. 😉

Ever. Not even a little bit.
Horrendous pun aside, it’s hard to deny that attempting to clean snow covered paddocks is not even remotely amusing. Well, not for the person cleaning anyhow; my horses all seem pretty pleased with themselves though and the bystanders at the barn apparently get a kick out of my ability to string together unique combinations of profanities, so there’s that anyway. 😉

…there may have been some searches involving ‘nearest ER,’ and ‘low cost fares to Hawaii’ as well. But seriously though, I’ve gone through all of these. Good thing the weather has been so crummy as it has allowed me to thoroughly explore them all as well as re-familiarize myself with the sad fact that I’ll never be rich enough to build an indoor. Doh. 😉

Is total bull…
Because base jumping isn’t exciting enough. But seriously, is anyone else tired of their horse acting like he has firecrackers in his pants? I think their brain cells freeze together and then rattle around causing them to leap about like total morons. :/

Do I *look* like I wanna do anything with snow?
Um, no. In no uncertain terms. Ever. Even though it’s only January, I have fully reached my limit regarding my tolerance for winter. 🙁 If it had a face, I probably would take just a little too much glee from melting it. 😡

Seriously. Have you ever even looked at it??
Honestly, in what world is it NOT terrifying to convince your kid that a small, creepy looking elf is lurking in the house and that he comes ALIVE at night to spy on you all and report back to his master?! All that’s missing is some creepy music and blood spatter and you have the makings of a solid horror flick. 😉

AKA You know it’s time to move back south when…
No matter how much I resist, kick, scream, and complain, somehow winter still comes. Jerk. It’s only just December but I can fully assure you I am ready for June. I seriously think next year I need to plan on a month in Florida (so any of you down near Wellington hit me up!) 😉
